But motivated!

Hooray!  I now have The Dukan Diet book and some electric scales!  I'm almost all set.  I also did a little online shopping with Holland & Barret and am having more supplies in preparation for D-Day (diet day!)

I have bought:
  • Total Sweet Sugar Substitute (I wanted to buy stevia, but couldn't find it easy cheaply, so opted for this Xylitol product instead, because lets face it - at least it's not aspartame and it's still a natural sweetener)
  • Some multivitamins and minerals (extra delicious minerals, yum!  But really, I've been meaning to take some sort of supplements since I found out how the nutritional content of food, in both livestock and arable farming, is being affected by more intensive farming methods and poor soil quality)
  • Glucosamine Gel (because my knees have got really bad, I suspect that this is due to carrying a lot of extra weight, but want to give them a less 'crunchy' time when I'm doing my daily walks)
  • Vitamin Caddy (for storing all my lovely pills)
  • Oat Bran - TWO packets (obv!)
  • Fairtrade Green Chai (something special instead of alcohol)
Will Spiced Green Chai cut it when all I want is a G&T?

I need to crack on with reading the book, pronto and then onto D-Day.  I think I would also like to get a tape measure so I can see if my measurements are changing (please don't take just my boobs, please take some arse and thigh and tummy as well!)

Most importantly, I also want to get WELL stocked up on protein for my 5 day attack phase and also have something ready for my first PV day as I'm not sure I'll be able to take going into a supermarket anytime soon.

    1. Hi JJ, Thanks for reading! The Dukan Diet is very popular in Europe and is supposed be behind the secret of why French women are thin but eat what they want! www.dukandiet.co.uk

The first phase (attack) you are restricted to eating lean protein for around 5 days, depending on how much you want to lose, then on the second phase (cruise) you can reintroduce some carbohydrates (just vegetables) and then you enter the consolidation phase where you reintroduce more food categorise and finally you stabilise the weight.

I really like because you can eat as much as you want of the permitted food and as long as you stay creative you don't feel at all deprived or hungry. I've spoken to - and seen! - the tremendous results it's had on people around me, i.e. they've lost a lot of weight, quite quickly, haven't found the diet too much of chore and have kept the weight off. Win win!

Let me know how you get on if you decide to try it!

      Fatty. Xx
